Another illustration for .net magazine… this one for a feature on creating newsletters! Thanks to Greg of Digital Kitchen NY for letting me use this shot that I took back in April!

During my recent one month stay in New York I directed the Webbys Gala Intro Sequence for Digital Kitchen. As part of a larger package completed by DK for the Webbys awards show, this is the final “Director’s Cut” version complete with Hecq soundtrack. Shot over a day around Manhattan and Brooklyn with a low key crew the sequence was then edited by myself in New York before being sent to DK’s Chicago office to add the graphics and then sent back to me in London for final grading and editing duties! Many thanks to Dave Skaff, Abbe Daniel and Rama Allen for giving me the freedom to see through my vision on this project!

New illustration for a web legal feature I recently finished for the upcoming issue of .net magazine featuring Christos from Digital Kitchen on modelling duties which I shot during my time in NY last month! Many thanks to Christos for allowing me to use the shot!

Last weekend I was lucky enough to speak at the Multi-Mania conference in Belgium! Many thanks to Koen for inviting me and for the warm reception and a big thanks to Tom and Karl for transporting us to and from the airport! Was good to see familar conference faces and to make new friends! Hope to see you all next year!

The OFFF conference in Lisboa saw the end to a tiring but fun trip that has taken me from London - New York - Toronto - New York - Lisbon and soon back to London! This is a shot taken during one of three interviews that we did after leaving the title sequence doing a test render at the hotel. We’ll get the final movie posted online asap! Big thanks to everyone that came to the conference and showed us love, a big thank you to the DK office in NYC for letting me use their machines to edit while I was in New York and a very big thank you to Hector, Astridd, Céline and everyone who helps run OFFF! Currently working in New York for Digital Kitchen. I’m staying in an apartment on the far left of the above shot, its a great block with a nice little coffee shop across the road to set me up for the 21 block trek north to work every morning. 32 days away from everything that matters. Been backing up alot of work on my hard drives for archiving and came across this spread that I did for .net magazine last year. Thought I’d post it here as I haven’t been updating the main site as much recently. I’m especially guilty of not updating the Print section and with the new site relaunch coming soon and with the actual static design section no longer being a part of that redesign (replacing with photography) I was thinking that the blog would be as good a place as any to show any random print design that I may undertake!

Anyway, this is Greg Herman from Digital Kitchen in New York and was shot last summer on the rooftops of DK, the background is a shot from Dumbo in Brooklyn… so a big thanks to him for modeling for this one!
