Embrace

I met Hillman Curtis back in 2002 when I first screened PR.Mayhem at BD4D London and was instantly inspired by his process and attitude to his work. Recently he has been moving more and more into short film and I received a circular mail about this piece Embrace which totally blew me away with its simplicity and power. Brilliantly shot and edited, this is definitely the way forward…

I had the oportunity to see Hillman live at the OFFF this year and he explained the process on how he started to film this movies, and how he wants to keep them, one of the best presentations of this years OFFF.
I think his movies go deep in the exploration of human feelings, and on how the surroundings and different situations can cause an effect on us.
Soldiers and Roof are some of my favorites but all of them are worth seeing.
