Drew Trujillo aka Dr Woohoo, who I had the pleasure of meeting at the OFFF conference in Barcelona last year, has recently been having a play around with analytic algorithms. Woohoo’s Color Analytic algorithms analyze the color palettes from images, organizing the colors based on their frequency distribution (frequency, relative frequency, etc) and central tendencies (mode, median, weighted mean, etc). This information helps determine the size and color of each brush stroke. The above image is a reinterpretation of a photo I took in New York.
